A cat wand or cat catcher is one of the simplest toys for cats, that most pets like. How to make a cat wand?
To make a cat wand you will need:
- wooden dowel;
- string;
- leather cord;
- scissors;
- non toxic wood glue;
- additional elements: rings, feathers, yarn, fabric scraps, pom-poms.
To make a cat catcher more comfortable, wrap the wooden dowel with string. If you want to have the wand toy more durable, you can use non toxic wood glue. You can wrap only the end and the beginning of wooden dowel, or you can wrap it all.
Make and glue a loop at the end of the wooden dowel, and finish wrapping.
Sew fabric scraps and pom-poms on. You can use any material (yarn, feathers, rings, and so on) you have or like, the sky is the limit.
Sew the base with the leather cord.
